From the outset, Genfit created a solid intellectual property framework, recognising that the protection of our assets and world-renowned academic research is key to the company’s value creation.

GENFIT'S ASSETS FOR FUTURE VALUE CREATION

Genfit has put in place a dedicated organisation, which aims to create and preserve the intellectual assets for our development. Today, the company has a portfolio of 265 patents or patent applications regrouped into 29 families, each corresponding to a specific invention:

  • Patents related to new molecules and their therapeutic usage, as well as new therapeutic usage for already known molecules,
  • Patents related to dosage or diagnostic tools,
  • Patents related to research methods and tools.

Our portfolio is regularly enriched by new patent applications which protect inventions resulting from in-house research.
