Raphael Darteil

Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Management Board

Raphaël Darteil, who has a Doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Biology (with a major in virology), from the Claude Bernard University (Lyon I), has held various management positions in the gene therapy departments of Aventis in France and in the US. His main scientific interests lie in the control and regulation of gene expression, and particularly in the area of nuclear receptors.

After 5 years coordinating Genfit's Strategic Alliances, his duties have been enlarged and he is currently responsible for all Genfit's Operations. Liaising directly with the CSO, he is in charge of the good management of the technical & scientific teams and all the laboratories of the company, aiming at the best progress of Genfit's partnered or proprietary programs.
