Florence Séjourné

Florence Séjourné, 36, graduated in Biotechnology from the Ecole des Mines Graduate School in Paris. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of Illinois (Chicago, USA).

She began her career in 1994 in the Department of Immunology Research at the Roussel Uclaf Research Centre (Aventis) at Romainville. From 1994 to 1996, at the University of Illinois under the responsibility Dr. Alkan-Önyüksel (Pharmaceutical Department), Florence Séjourné led several research programmes in drug delivery and pharmacology applied to cardiovascular diseases. In particular, she has contributed to the development and in vitro and in vivo characterisation of a new prolonged-action therapeutic product based on a peptide, designed for various indications, including hypertension, asthma, impotence, inflammatory diseases and constipation.

In 1997 she joined Eurasanté, where she took charge of the biopharmaceutical sector and published several strategic studies on pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She has actively been involved in the creation of GENFIT and has notably worked on the first partnerships and joint research contracts with pharmaceutical companies.

Besides her general management functions, Florence Séjourné particularly supervises the implementation and coordination of the Company’s industrial alliances as well as the business development division via an interface with the Scientific Committee.
